Delivery Information

Your order will be delivered by a third party, part of a nationwide network of pallet couriers. Your local courier will be responsible for the unloading of your goods at the destination address.

The driver will arrive in an 18 ton gross vehicle weight truck, with a width of 3 meters and a length of up to 11 meters. Your order will be unloaded using a manual pallet truck, please be aware that this is not a crane offload service. To ensure delivery is possible, please ensure the following conditions are met:

  1. The ground must be flat, level and a stable surface
  2. Your items cannot be unloaded onto gravel, grass/soil or any other loose surfaces
  3. There must be a minimum of 3 meters width at the delivery address (the approximate size of a bin lorry)
  4. The delivery location must be free of obstacles such as overhead cables and branches
  5. All deliveries will be left at the kerbside

Delivery Timetable

Express 1-2 day delivery: All orders completed by 12 mid-day will be processed and dispatched the same day, with delivery within 2 working days.

The delivery time-frame will begin on the day after ordering.

Please note, these are FULL working days. If you have placed your order on Monday, the delivery time frame will begin the day after.

All orders placed during non working days, i.e weekends will need to be processed on the next working day. i,e if an order is placed on Sunday, your order will be processed on Monday & the delivery time frame will begin on Tuesday.

Standard 3-5 day delivery: All orders completed by 12 mid-day will be processed and dispatched within 1 working days, with delivery within 5 working days.

Please note, these are FULL working days. If you have placed your order on Monday, the delivery time frame will begin the day after.

The delivery times stated above are intended as a guideline, whilst every effort is made to deliver your products on time, there may still be unfortunate delays.

It is not advised to arrange any contractors or labour for your project until your products arrive. Please read thoroughly through the delivery terms below.

Your order will be delivered using our 18 ton gross vehicle weight truck with a fixed lifting crane. This truck has a width of 2.8 meters, length of 7.5m and a maximum reach of 4 meters.

To ensure delivery is possible, please ensure the following conditions are met:

  1. The ground of which the delivery vehicle will be parking when lifting off the items must be a flat, level and stable surface
  2. There must be a minimum of 2.8 meters width at the delivery address 
  3. The delivery location must be free of obstacles such as overhead cables and branches
  4. Please ensure that the chosen location of your items does not exceed the reach of our crane
  5. Our driver will contact you when your delivery is on its way, please make sure you have left a contact phone number

Depending on the type of item you have ordered, your products may be ‘palletized’, therefore once the delivery is complete, you will be responsible for the disposal of the wooden pallet and any other associated packaging contained within your order.

For delivery of loose aggregates, please ensure the above criteria is also met.

Delivery Times

We aim to package, process and deliver your items within 2 working days, during busier times this may be extended to 2 or 3 working days. If you have any special requirements or are looking for a specific delivery time/day, please contact us here prior to placing your order.

It is the customers responsibility to read and understand all of the information contained within this page. We will advise our customers to the best of our knowledge on all matters relating to the products, ordering and delivery conditions. By agreeing to our terms, it remains the customers responsibility that all delivery conditions are met.

The driver of the delivery vehicle is responsible for the safe delivery of your goods. If one or more of the delivery conditions has not been met, it is at the drivers discretion to cancel the delivery, which may result in a cancellation or failed delivery charge, which are payable by the customer.

All packaging within your order is non returnable. This includes items such as wooden pallet(s), polythene bags, straps and bulk bags. These items should be disposed of by the customer in a responsible way, recycling where possible.

Your order may be delivered without the customer present, usually at the delivery companies discretion. We cannot take responsibility for any items left unattended. This includes damage or theft of the items. 

Although the greatest care is taken by the network of pallet companies and our local drivers, if in the unlikely event that damage is caused to the customers property or goods, we cannot accept responsibility for the actions of the third party company carrying out the delivery or when a delivery vehicle leaves the public highway.

We cannot accept liablility for non delivery, cancelled delivery or refusal of goods caused by circumstances beyond our control. It remains the customers responsibility to pay any incurred charges caused by this.

When goods are sent with a third party, they are subject to the  ‘Road Haulage Association Limited – conditions of carriage 2020’ A copy of this document can be downloaded by clicking here

The customer retains their right to cancel any order within the following time frames:

For orders placed before 12 mid-day on a 1-2 day delivery service, the order must be cancelled before 3PM the same day.

For orders placed before 12 mid-day on a 3-5 day delivery service, the order must be cancelled before 3PM the following day.

Cancellations must be written in email and sent to sales@onlinematerials.co.uk Please include your order number, delivery postcode and product details. If you have not received confirmation that your order has been cancelled, please call us on 01726 212721.

Customers can return any palletized orders to the dispatch address within 10 days of purchase. It remains the customers responsibility to arrange the delivery and cover any postage costs. This will be a minimum of £40 plus VAT.

In the event of a failed delivery, the customer will be liable to pay a re-delivery fee, as specified by the delivery company.

Please ensure that any loose material orders are correct at the point of checkout. Once these items are delivered, it will be very difficult to return these items.

Refunds are available for up to 30 days after you have placed your order. Buyer pays the return postage fees & your refund will be processed once we receive your returned products.
